Our 14 year old King Charles spaniel had to be placed to sleep this morning, what is an extremely distressing time was made easier by the love and respect shown by all the staff. The little gesture of a card, paw print and fur clipping made us feel he’s not a number he’s as special as we believed he was - thank you for the kindness love Rachel, Nick and Nyla-May xx

First time at summerhill vets with my cat Charlie. We came from summer grove after it closed. Very friendly staff and relaxed environment. Charlie was inquisitive because it was new. Liked the fact of a car park. No need to look for outside parking. Really convenient. We came for his 6 month check and booked for the next one.

Took my cat for routine vaccination. Clean, spacious and well designed reception area. We are invariably seen on time. The cat had peed itself (and more) the moment we arrived. Fiona at the reception was very kind and understanding, and helped to clean. The appointment itself went well, the cat was calm and cooperating, no drama. Very reasonable price. I like the online booking system too, which is fast and efficient. Thank you

Atrocious service. Arrived at 11.10 for a 11.20 appointment. Spent 10 mins with vet and was charged £118 consultation fees. Left at 12.25. Markup on drug prescriptions is 200-250%. Don’t go here. Gets worse, my dog was wrongly diagnosed and treated for arthritis, I paid over £600 for blood tests which they botched. When asked to return for bloods they said the visit would be free of charge and my dog would be given a quick check up. Then charged a full consultation fee of £65 because my dog “had seen a vet”. I refused to pay and was immediately referred to collections for what I assume is court action. My boys are now registered with another vet and the diagnosis and treatment, care and attention they receive is exactly what you expect for your beloved pets. Go to happy paws in Aberdare

Amazing team at this local vets they handle all animals with such care and attention. I’ve always been really happy with their level of service and honestly can’t fault them. They’ve been part of the community for years and have even expanded, which is well deserved. Truly a vets you can trust.
