South Wales Vets is a multi-branch practice that has grown from one branch to three over the past 10+ years, and it’s listed as a veterinary nurse training facility. Recent reviews describe routine preventative care (vaccinations/health checks) and end‑of‑life visits, with several owners mentioning practical touches like appointment reminders and being seen on time. There’s also a clear split in experiences: most recent reviewers describe friendly, professional interactions, while one recent reviewer reports a very negative experience during a euthanasia visit and felt repeatedly chased for payment.

In 24 hours this robbing vets had £900 from me and showed no care. When it was budget vets they was extremely passionate and supportive of your pets. This latest experience with my phone constantly going off asking for money is a disgrace. When entering the vets to have my beloved dog of 16 years put to sleep all staff was sat behind the counter reception (5 or 6) having a tea and coffee whilst I stood infront asking where do I go ? Can I be seen please for £900 is this good service ? No care at all. Extremely disappointed and I would never recommend this shambles of a place to any animal lover .

My elderly cat had her annual vaccination and health check yesterday. A very thorough check by student vet on work placement and then checked by Dr.Joe Carter. I was very impressed by both of them. So professional and competent whilst being friendly and caring. My questions were answered fully. I would recommend Dr.Carter to anyone looking to book an appointment.
